Our Story
Uncle Sam Durian is a small local business specializing in Mao Shan Wang from their farm in Raub Pahang, Malaysia. A homesick Uncle Sam received durians from his family in Malaysia, who kindly sent a huge basket to share with their kampong friends living in Singapore.
The taste of home' was so well-received that order requests came in daily, sparking Uncle Sam's desire to spread this joy to a wider audience.
Uncle Sam Durian started his business at 271 Bukit Batok East Avenue 4, but as his durians gained popularity, he decided to move to a shop lot (#01-141) at 448 Clementi Avenue 3 Market & Food Centre.
Musang King Durian
The best Mao Shan Wang comes from Raub, Pahang, but not just from any plantation. Only Old Trees (老树) from the High Mountains (高山) reap the best harvest, and Uncle Sam's family farm checks all the boxes.
As durians are a seasonal fruit, Uncle Sam's specialty, Mao Shan Wang and Mao Shan Wang Premium Black Gold, are only available during the durian season.
