Black Gold Musang King is a rare and highly sought-after selection of the classic Musang King, sourced from mature trees in Raub, Pahang. Renowned for its deep bitterness, bold aroma, and exceptionally creamy texture, its flesh ranges from deep golden yellow to greyish gold and offers a rich, complex flavour with subtle fermented ("XO") notes. Unlike the sweeter, more balanced Musang King, Black Gold is crafted for seasoned durian lovers who appreciate an intense and lingering aftertaste. Most fruits have small seeds, providing more thick, buttery flesh in every bite. As durian is a natural product, we are unable to guarantee 100% small seeds, but approximately 80% of our Black Golds will have predominantly small seeds.

Musang King (D197), also known as Mao Shan Wang, is Malaysia's most iconic premium durian and the benchmark against which all other varieties are compared. Sourced from Raub, Pahang, it is renowned for its vibrant golden-yellow flesh, rich aroma, smooth buttery texture, and well-balanced flavour that combines natural sweetness with a pleasant hint of bitterness. While Musang King is traditionally known for its relatively small seeds, modern harvests may occasionally produce larger seeds due to natural variations. As durian is a natural product, we are unable to guarantee 100% small seeds. However, approximately 80% of our Musang Kings will have predominantly small seeds, giving you more thick, creamy flesh to enjoy.

Black Thorn is a luxurious and highly sought-after durian originating from Penang but grown in the Raub region. Named after the distinctive blackened thorn-like remnant at the base of the fruit, it is prized for its deep orange flesh, thick and sticky texture, intense sweetness, and complex wine-like aftertaste. Often regarded by durian connoisseurs as a premium rival to Musang King, Black Thorn offers a rich, custard-like experience with remarkable flavour depth. Due to its seasonal and limited supply, it remains one of the most coveted durian varieties in the market. As durian is a natural product, we are unable to guarantee small seeds; only around 20% of Black Thorn fruits will have predominantly small seeds.

Also known as Bamboo Durian or some call it the Musang Queen, Tekka (D160) is revered for its multi-layered taste, combining bitterness, sweetness, and a slight earthiness. The flesh is darker yellow, thick, and slightly fibrous — not as smooth as Musang King. Grown mainly in Johor and Pahang, it's not as widely available but has a strong cult following for its bold flavor complexity.

XO is a variation of the D24 durian that has been left to ferment slightly longer after falling from the tree. This results in an intense alcohol-like bitterness with a rich, soft texture. The XO is beloved by those who appreciate a bold, sharp flavor profile. It’s often recommended to more experienced eaters who prefer less sweetness and more depth.

Golden Phoenix (D198) is a popular durian among Singaporeans, known for its pale yellow-white flesh and strong aroma. It has a slightly watery texture but a sharp, bitter-sweet taste that appeals to veteran durian lovers. Its flesh-to-seed ratio is good, and its early fruiting season makes it a market staple.

Red Prawn (D175) is one of the most popular durians in Penang and Johor. It has a creamy, sticky texture, deep orange flesh, and a mild sweet flavor. It’s loved by all ages, and its thick, generous flesh makes it feel indulgent. While not intense in bitterness, it offers comfort in its sweetness and smoothness.

D88 is one of Malaysia's most well-loved traditional durian varieties, prized for its creamy, buttery flesh, fragrant aroma, and smooth, well-balanced sweetness with a subtle bittersweet finish. Carefully selected from Raub, Pahang, D88 delivers a rich and satisfying eating experience that has remained a favourite among durian lovers for generations. As with all natural fruits, seed size and flesh yield may vary.
